The Parksville Golden Oldies Sports Association (PGOSA) is a large (1200+ member) mid-island seniors community that connects local seniors with social activities.

Our members comprise residents from Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Courtenay, Nanaimo, Ladysmith, and the surrounding areas. There’s always something to do at the club, including activities like cycling, bridge, pickleball, and more.

What we do

PGOSA offers a diverse and active range of both social and sporting activities for social engagement, including line dancing, mahjong and card games.

Our Sports Groups include badminton, volleyball, curling, cycling, lawn bowling, paddling, pickleball, slo-pitch, volleyball, walking/hiking, and walking soccer, ensuring year-round opportunities for fitness and fun.

Membership Perks

For a low annual fee, PGOSA membership grants you access to a wide array of year-round organized activities.

Your membership fee immediately goes toward essential benefits, including Accident, Disability, and Liability Insurance, plus subsidies for activity groups. You’ll also save money with the “Friends of PGOSA” discount program, stay informed with our newsletter (The Chronicle), and join the Mid-Island Region’s largest and most active seniors community.

Friends of PGOSA

The “Friends of PGOSA” program is a valuable membership benefit that offers PGOSA members discounts ranging from 10% to 25% at numerous local merchants.

As a bonus, the “Friends of PGOSA” program is designed to put money back in your pocket! We’re confident that the savings you gain from just one or two purchases can often cover your low annual membership fee.

Become a part of our thriving association for a small annual fee. Your membership supports our operations and grants you access to exclusive benefits.

Your $15 annual fee covers accident, disability, and liability insurance, as well as subsidies for our activity groups. Members also enjoy discounts from local merchants through our “Friends of PGOSA” program, often covering the cost of the annual fee.
